full IFTTT integration for the Bridge

Right now, I can connect the bridge to the Ewelink app, and I can connect my Ewelink account to IFTTT but the only options that show up are plugs and switches.

I'd love to be able to send an email that "pushes" a button my 4-button remote, or hourly check to see if someone left the garage door open, and send me an email if it is.

It certainly can't help Matt - I'm posting now

Please ADD IFTTT support for bridge. It's unbelievable that you have not implemented it yet!

Don't count on it coming....this was the response I got from ITEAD.

"Sorry, Only Sonoff switch and plug product support IFTTT now.

Regards,

Daniel Zhan"

Useless answer from Itead :/

I followed up on their response asking if they were no longer planning on bringing Bridge support to IFTTT.

"We will discuss internally with RD team to see if we can achieve this function.

Regards,

Daniel Zhan"

So I followed up on my response from ITEAD with a question if they are no longer planning to bring support to the RF Bridge. This was their response:

"We will discuss internally with RD team to see if we can achieve the function.

Daniel Zhan"

+1  to this having to be done, and I also expected the motion sensor to show up under Alexa motion sensor, when choosing a trigger for a new action but nothing ( I believe with the API update Alexa did last year devices can support to become trigger sensors).

Rf Bridge open my gate (rf 433) so I cannot use anything else to make it work when I arrive home.

Need that feature badly.....

For those users that wanted to create an action from a sensor connected to the rf Bridge and this action to only happen during certain time periods, it appears this is now possible in the ewelink app. Select ~ Scene ~ +Add Scene ~Condition +Add ~ Bridge (sensor on that bridge) ~ Perform (Select switch to perform action) ~ The effective period will then become available, uncheck 24 hours and select time required period. I have used this to turn on lights as I enter the house only during dark hours. Could also be used on a PIR sensor connected to a siren etc.

@Alain Church - use IFTTT app. Create an applet as follows, Trigger service ~ Location ~ When you enter an area, then ~ select Ewelink ~ Turn on 1 channel switch. You will have to use the Sonoff inching switch connected directly to your gate input trigger. It is easy enough to install.

I wouldn´t use that kind of trigger for my gates. Is a total unsecure method. First problem is that IFTTT location trigger not always works, secondly I think is bad idea to let an app open he gate cause could be opened few seconds / minutes before or after you arrive home.

The "effective period" has a "little" bug, it doesn't work if you set for example from 22 to 6, you've to set 2 scenes: from 22 to 00 and from 00 to 6

It's 2 years now that we are asking for this feature... do you think we'll have it at last?

Last month I wrote to sonoff to ask for it otherwise I'd send the sonoff bridge back (I was in the 1 month grace period of Amason) and they told me:

"Very sorry for all the inconveniences caused to you. I have already sent you request to our technical department. They will evaluate it and check if it can add to IFTTT

in the near future. Could you please wait for more days?

Joy Li"

It's now clear to me they will not implement it soon. That's a shame since it has real potential and will let the sonoff bridge be sold as a cake.

At least I got my money back.

This is dead - I think we can all agree

We should still apply pressure to the company and not be defeatist. They promised the feature and we still await the implementation. The more we keep this thread alive, the more likely buyers will read this and make the decision NOT to buy SONOFF. Companies that fail on promises fail.
